Office politics

In a hallway of a hotel or office building, I’m in a standoff with 3 other people. Am I after them or are they after me? I see a clock on the wall and the reflection of a gun on its surface. I make a move but a man yells “Not so fast!” and throws a stick of dynamite down the hall. I run for it but am hit with a dart. I don’t know if it is a tranquilizer or poison. I pull it out and head for the elevator. I have to wait for several people to get on before I can enter.

You're fired

My cube at work has been moved. So has everyone's. There is now a couch that looks like it belong in someone’s grandmother’s house in front of my door. Piled all around in huge stacks are packing material, papers and large cardboard tubes like the kind that carpet comes on.

Rain

Walking through a town that is a hybrid of Louisville, KY and Fayetteville, AR. I walk past a row of storefronts. Outside are several 50s kitchen tables and chairs. It is dark so I use a small spot light to look at them. Just beyond is a farmhouse with all kinds of cool junk in the large yard. I remember it from a previous dream as a snack bar / arcade. There are rusted, welded sculptures and old pinball machines. I see a large square table that has the same clown art as Mom and Dad’s pinball machine, but the surface of the table is a baseball game with holes at the bases and positions. Several plastic eggs are sitting there as balls. It is covered with dirt and grime. I want it and think about looking into buying it. Wonder how much it will be. As I go inside the front door, I am greeting by a large old woman. She is kind and welcoming. Brooke suddenly joins me. She explains that the house and land belong to her family. And that an artist lives there. He is on the list of famous naked artists. I am impressed and don’t question what that means. Brooke and I take a walk around back to look at the sculptures and junk. There are piles of scrap metal around and smaller welded pieces the size of loafs of bread. There form a row near a small tree. I think that all of this will be hers and thus mine. We see a man, the artist on a tractor or truck across the field. We all wave and I tell Brooke that we have to go inside because it is about to rain. The sky is clear, but she follows me towards the house. Suddenly dark storm clouds blow in and it starts to rain. I grab her hand and run as the wind picks up to gusts. We see a dark funnel cloud coming over a far hill and trees. As we turn the corner of the house, we see another funnel cloud coming through town. Brooke runs ahead into the house and I stop on the porch to take a picture of each tornado with my digital camera. I am not happy with either shot but get my ass inside. We go through the house led by the old woman. We enter the kitchen and there is red glassware (bowls, glasses, vases, platters) in variations of the same color and pattern. They sit on a shelf and inside the refrigerator. I think it is odd to have empty glassware in the fridge, but close the door without saying anything. The woman has me pour water into glasses using a clear glass funnel with a handle. When it is moving or at an angle, no water falls out the bottom, but when it is over a glass, it pours. I don’t understand how it works and spill a few drops each time I approach a glass. I put the funnel back on top of a tall glass barometer. It is open at the top of the tip of the funnel to rest in the water inside.

On your mark

Running in a race that starts at a farmhouse. A small group of people (about 15) is waiting to start. I take off first. I’m not sure if we are starting in waves or if I am cheating on a false start, but I know I will lose. I follow a long, winding, concrete trail through a park.

Do run run

Sitting on an elevated floor across from a stage. Watching a Beach Boys concert by myself. Someone behind me starts rubbing my shoulders. It is an oriental girl and when I turn my head around to see, she kisses me. Her tongue goes into my mouth and I suck on it like a Popsicle. She tries to slide her hand down my pants. Then she strokes me and wants me to run my hand up her plaid skirt. She fingers herself and tells me to do it for her.

Work it

At a school, the principal calls all the students out to the courtyard. Then I am on the roof with a crowd of students looking down at the campus of the school. Suddenly a dj starts playing below really loud music with heavy bass. A group gathers, it feels like they are filming a video like the one that U2 did on top of theater or something in LA.

A woman tells me that 1 out of every 3 women have been involved in the sex industry.

Kick it in second wind

A TV show is playing brief biographies of celebrities that have attempted suicide. The last one they show is Jimmy Buffett. Then the camera follows him as he drives a bicycle cart through a Caribbean town. He almost gets hit by truck or fruit cart. He yells at the other driver then peddles down the road.

Here comes the bride

Organizing a wedding in Louisville, another guy is helping me. We enter a long narrow room that feels like a hotel ballroom. I want to do the whole thing, wedding and reception in here. He says it’s not big enough.

Hunt for design

Driving down a deserted street. I have to go to a print shop and a design studio. I find the building and it is closed. The design studio looks cool and modern, lots of blonde wood and steel. I go the find the print shop and it is in another building with other offices. It feels like a campus. I rum into Tim and Paul Funke and talk to them standing among a group of guys that look like undergrads.

You need a better lookout

A doctor is explaining lasic eye surgery. It says that it doesn’t go back and forth across the eye, but instead the laser focuses to blast the tiny imperfections out of the eye. Then doctor then gets caught smuggling Playboy magazines onto a military base.

Fidelity

Flirting with Mary from work as we walk through a wooden campus. We end up sitting in a stairwell that leads from ground level down to a side door of a building. She comes on to me and I resist. Then she is naked and trying to talk me into it. I refuse because of Brooke. She says she never would if she wasn’t sure that we weren’t meant to be together forever. But I think she means Brooke and I are meant to be together.

Dangerous discount

I sell some coupons on ebay for Paul. An auction ends and he realizes that he sent me the wrong ones. He says it would be bad if I actually sold those.

Take your shot

A basketball player takes the ball off the court and does a hook shot to lodge the ball behind a sign. The ball sits up there as if on a long shelf. The stadium/gym looks like a grocery store. I tell two girls on the other side of the court about it. I’m supposed to set up a pallet of products in a mall or next to the court matching the green sign he threw the ball behind. A bunch of basketball players get off of a private jet. They are wearing suits and one is a foot or so taller than the other.

Home work

In a cool office with lots of open space and light wood paneling and furniture. Ultra-modern computers sit on the desks with attractive people working at them. It’s my last day on job there and I’m just wondering around, goofing off, talking to people. Some guy tells me to sign or label a bunch of paintings, posters or art prints. I can’t believe he’s actually making me do work before I leave.
Then I’m giving mom and dad a tour, telling them how the office was remodeled. They took out a wall to open up a curving staircase to the second floor. As we round a corner, I see a few guys taking down curtains from a big window, they are the drapes from grandpa’s sliding glass door to his backyard. I tell the guys (dad is now helping them) not to throw them away. Dad replies I know, I know. There are boxes stacked against a wall over-flowing with old Christmas decorations. Mom is walking down the stairs ahead of me and complains over her shoulder that Stacy asked her if the brass reindeers were tarnished because they wouldn’t look good in her neighborhood. I think to myself that it isn’t like Stacy to act snobby.

I can't hear you

I’m in a bar and a woman (the waitress or owner?) asks me to turn down the volume on the sound system. There is something on tv and a radio playing. There is no knob to turn, just two buttons side by side on the front of the bar. I push a button to lower the volume. Awhile later, someone asks me to turn it down again. I hold down the button again, but the volume doesn’t go down. The guys at the bar are getting angry. I realize that you have to press the button repeatedly and not just hold it down.

Where's he gonna sit?

I’m racing the Cannonball. Two old guys are competing against me in the cannonball run. We are both stopped at a motel. It is night. I sneak up to their car and try to sabotage it. A polite girl is keeping watch for me. A group of bullies helps us take off and get a head start in the race.

Fly

I am running after a girl on a deck. I reach out to her and then she is lying on her back. She is naked and spreads her legs. My face is close to her and her pussy opens like a venus flytrap reaching out to me. I tentatively lick her clit and start going down on her. She squirms away and turns over onto her knees so I can take her from behind. I grab her hips as she bucks against me.

Awkward

Mom, Dad, Stacy and I are at another family’s house. Their kids are playing in the pool out back. Someone takes a picture of Stacy and I. She is leaning forward and wearing a bulky sweater. I put my arm around her to pose for the picture and accidentally put my hand on her breast instead of her elbow or shoulder. The other Dad is sitting in the car in the driveway next to the house. He is ready to drive off, but starts freaking out. He is yelling at his wife, something about medication. Dad suggests we go take a soak in the hot tub. He is wearing a robe and I realize that I am wearing my new robe.

Let's settle this

A party planner is describing an event she managed. It was a dance contest that seemed wildly successful at first, over 6,000 people showed up. But then they sued the guy who threw it. She’s trying to help him out by talking to me. I find him behind the counter of his liquor store. Two beefy Mexican guys are at the register talking to him. They are trying to make him print a lottery ticket with yesterday’s winning numbers on it. They don’t understand that it isn’t possible. They point to the lottery register and continue threatening him. He punches in the numbers just to appease them. I decide to stay out of it and wander off to look around. The beginning section of the first aisle is full of hot air balloon glasses from different races. There is also a large glass jar of marbles on the bottom shelf.

Dislocated

At Disney, but it is a different amusement park. I’m walking around like a guest, then realize that I’m in an orange uniform. I walk past a guy and hear him ask the people he is with, “Where’s the Pitch & Putt?” I run off down a path. The guy thinks I am running from him to avoid answering the question he didn’t actually ask me. I hear him shouting as I run off. I leave the park without changing out of the uniform. And take a bus to Mom and Dad’s house, although the house I walk up to does not look like theirs. I notice some balloon pins at the end of the driveway. There are scattered next to and in a dirt trench between the mailbox post and the curb. The trench looks like it was dug out of the lawn by tires cutting the corner to the driveway. Some of the pins are of Mom and Dad’s balloon and some I don’t recognize.
